Carlos Galli resides in Jaco, a coastal town wedged between beach and rainforest, where he draws much of his inspiration. Painting since the age of four, Galli's talent has been noted since his teenage years; at seventeen he was awarded first place in the "Best Youth Artist" competition, a contest held nationally at the high school level. His artwork has continued to garner acclaim and awards, recognized by regional media and featured in documentaries. Galli's paintings can be found in private collections throughout the world, as far away as Hong Kong, and his eco-murals are displayed all over Costa Rica.

Michael Cranford was born in Southern California and grew up in Colorado and, like Galli, was something of a child prodigy as he began drawing whenever he had an increment for sketching in his hand. As a young adult, he turned his creative bent toward photography, but after visiting Hawaii and becoming entranced with the tropics, he made a move to Costa Rica and took up painting.

Of his inspiration and the art that flows from it, Cranford says: As a painter living in the rain forest, I am inspired by the richness of the biodiversity and by the vivid colors that influence my life everyday. Through my art, I learn about myself, about my life, and about my time spent on this wonderful planet. We are the caretakers of this planet, and I hope my artwork will inspire everyone who has a chance to view it.
